Technical Studies

An essential part of our Enironmental Assessment is studying the current enviornment and the proposed landfill. Between Fall 2017 and Fall 2018, experts are collecting data about the social, economic, and natural environment. Once they have that "baseline" information, they will model the impacts from the proposed landfill. They will use those results to recommend ways to enhance positive impacts and prevent or minimize negative impacts. Once all the reports are in, Walker will be discussing them with neighbours, local community members, municipalities, government agencies, other stakeholders, and First Nations.

Field Work

Field work is any part of the study that's done in the community. This includes taking samples and pictures, monitoring, as well as talking to people.
